About

Land data assimilation is a methodological approach within Earth system science that integrates observational data of the terrestrial surface with dynamic land surface models. This process aims to produce optimal, spatially and temporally consistent estimates of land surface state variables and fluxes by reconciling model predictions with diverse measurements, thereby reducing uncertainty in simulations and enhancing predictive capabilities for hydrological, ecological, and climate applications.
